I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly 20 years of clinical experience. I have worked with people of all ages, across a multitude of environments. Giving voices to those who have lost their own is my guiding principle. I feel that to be heard is a powerfully simple gift that is too often denied and offers a strong foundation for successful treatment. I am here to not only listen to your words, but to truly hear your voice. If you've lost your voice along the way, I will work hard to help you find it. Together, we will empower you to grow and heal. My goal is always to help you reclaim your voice, your power, and your peace.

Approach And Experience

I am skilled with CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), behavioral therapies for children and teens, creative therapies, grief counseling, trauma-informed care, and traditional insight-oriented, person centered interventions. I utilize an existential lens to help guide clients through times of conflict and confusion. My experience was gained in community mental health and behavioral health settings, residential and group living environments, K-12 school social work, and crisis response. I have extensive experience treating children, adolescents and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and dual diagnoses. I am highly skilled working with Autism Spectrum Disorders, and I have 10 years of experience providing direct behavioral therapies under Illinois' CILA waiver program.

I am socially active and hands-on in my pursuit to support and empower those most in need. Following Hurricane Katrina, I moved to New Orleans, LA to assist in crisis response, providing case management and volunteer counseling to Katrina survivors living in an active disaster area. Following the tragedy in Highland Park in July 2022, I spent time providing brief crisis counseling to affected children and families. Helping others through their times of greatest need is one of my core values, and I will continue using my skills to serve others in critical situations whenever I can.
