Headshot of Linda Long

In challenging times, it may be particularly difficult to focus on your own needs. Seeking the support of a professional can be especially helpful for guidance and to know that you are not alone. I believe everyone has the ability within themselves to grow. My goal is to empower you by providing knowledge, fostering understanding, and teaching new skills. I will support you through the entire process and look forward to being a part of your journey to being the best version of you!

Approach

My clinical approach is anchored in evidence-based practices which have been shown to be effective, and responsive including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and more. I utilize play for children and other modalities to engage young clients. I also incorporate spirituality where desired as I believe this to be an important way of coping with life’s challenges.  I have over 20 years of clinical experience treating older children (9-12 years old), teens, young adults and older adults. I also work with couples and families on a number of issues including working through betrayal, resolving conflict and improving communication and improving the overall quality of the relationships.
