Maidy Magadan, LPC
I am a Spanish speaking passionate therapist with a trauma-informed approach. My approach is rooted in empathy, validation, and acceptance, creating a safe and compassionate space for you to explore your story and work toward healing collaboratively. I believe in meeting you where you are, recognizing your unique strengths, and empowering you to rediscover hope and resilience. My goal is to create a welcoming space where you can feel respected and understood and where you can reconnect with yourself fostering resilience and self-compassion. I work with children, adolescents, and adults.
My Approach
I am skilled in using various evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) a modality for processing traumatic memories, anxiety and present triggers. I believe that trauma shapes but does not define us.
As a Latina woman, my journey into this field was driven by a desire to inspire growth, instill hope, and advocate for mental health awareness, particularly within underserved communities. I earned the degree of Master of Science in Clinical Psychology at Benedictine University.
I am deeply committed to inclusiveness and value working with clients from all backgrounds and walks of life. I am honored to support you in rediscovering your inner strength and stepping into a future of possibility and hope.
