Experience & Specialties

I have clinical experience providing individual therapy for individuals across the lifespan within inpatient, community mental health, college counseling, and private practice settings.

My clinical areas of focus include trauma/PTSD, life transitions, mood disorders, minority stress, grief and loss, self-esteem and identity development, LGBTQ+ identity, sexuality, and/or sexual health. I work with ages 9 years old and older.

Approach

My approach to therapy is primarily relational, with incorporations of some CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and trauma-specific interventions (i.e., Narrative Exposure Therapy, EMDR) or modalities based on client needs. I am devoted to providing a relationship and environment that is collaborative and unconditionally accepting to encourage positive change.

I have worked with children and teens and use a variety of methods, including solution-focused, CBT, DBT skills, mindfulness, narrative exposure, and client-centered approaches. I typically include parent consultations and check-in sessions too.

Cultural understanding and attunement are central in my practice as a psychologist. Our mental health is inherently impacted by systemic factors we navigate daily. I lean into curiosity with my clients as I believe that they are the experts of their experiences, and we both have the opportunity to learn from one another within the therapy space.

Outside of the Therapy Office

I enjoy comedy and horror tv shows/films, going to concerts, trying new foods, spending time with family and friends, swimming, and pilates.
